I am so far behind in sneak peeks that a few of you will be getting "sneak peeks" and full galleries nearly at the same time. Whew! I've been shooting much more than usual this month and also had a quick trip to California (and oh, taught a workshop!) and am looking forward to catching up on everything else soon. It will happen! I declare it to be so! :)

For the third (extra)ordinary workshop, we tried something a bit different for the "real home" family session on the second day. For the first two workshops we did indeed go to a "real" home, but our "clients" for the day were friends of mine (who are also clients, but I digress . . .) so there was a certain level of comfort there that one wouldn't necessarily have at a stranger shoot. For our July workshop, however, we kept it completely real! The R. family graciously volunteered to host the paparazzi for the morning and I photographed a family I'd never met before in a home I'd never seen before . . . in other words, what I do most days! This time I had a lot of company, though--no pressure!

We had a wonderful time at the third extraordinary workshop in early July--so much fun, in fact, that I'll need two blog posts to cover it!

One of the highlights for me was photographing a few of my past clients at the studio and seeing just how much they've grown--astonishing! Thank you for participating! (Oh, and one image is from someone I see everyday; she was eager to show off her "poses" so I don't suppose anyone told her that mommy doesn't pose kids!).

What a treat to see these twins again on such a special day--their birthday! Oh, how they have grown! Here's a small sneak peek for C. and J.'s parents and grandparents, who are likely still recovering from the big party this weekend. More soon!

Can you hear the giggles? What fun I had on my "playdate" with V. and H. Their laughter and joie de vivre was contagious. Here's a quick sneak peek for the P. family--enjoy! I have more images than words today as I'm heading out of town this evening to California for a few days. All e-mails and calls will be returned when I come back next week, and a special mini-session announcement will be made then as well.

the baby boom continues

All of my clients are having babies--it's so wonderful! The best part of all? I get to spend a few hours cuddling these adorable babies and then . . . I return home and get a good night's sleep. : )

Remember the cherry blossom baby and her big brother N.? Their sister has arrived, making the P. family a party of five. Family and sibling images to come, but for this blog post the spotlight is just on lovely Miss C., who made quite a dramatic entrance into the world. I see Oscars in her future. : ) Here are a few highlights from her session at the natural light studio in Wayne. (psst . . . for my first group of workshop attendees in early May, the P. family is the one who graciously hosted us for the "real home" session.)

Fun. times two.

Just a little over a month ago I photographed adorable twin one-year-old boys in the studio and yesterday I met yet another dynamic one-year-old duo. I am doubly (or, um, quadruply??? don't cringe, my fellow grammar-loving friends) blessed! We captured so many lovely images of these two on-the-go little guys (and yes, even some together! :)) but here is a but a small sneak peek for E. and K. It was wonderful to meet you!

I love the image on the right . . . though it could easily be cropped to focus on one of these adorable guys, I just love the "man down!" aspect of seeing a brotherly lump in the foreground. Because let's face it, when you are raising twin boys, it's probably an hourly occurrence that one is down while the other is up. : )

What a great day it was outside yesterday morning, too. Perfect for flying or just a little rest. Thanks again, H. family!

Third time is the charm

When T. first scheduled a session with me, it was for then 9-month-old J. this past January. Our first session date was *really* cold (as in even cold for January!) so we decided to postpone for the next weekend, which at that point promised to be a balmy ;) 43 degrees. But what happened on that weekend? One of the biggest snow storms of the winter! We decided to wait for truly balmy climes and had our session yesterday. Now 14 months old, J. was decidedly on the move with lots to explore and mom and dad, photographer, and neighbors to charm! Here's a sneak peek of this adorable fellow to tide T. and D. over until the full gallery is ready. It was wonderful meeting you at last!
